Life Science Pathways Center/Science Lab Upgrades Selection of Trade Contractors for the Project will be conducted in a two-phase process as set forth in M.G.L. c. 149A, § 8. Trade Contractor firms must first be prequalified in the Phase One – RFQ/Prequalification Phase in order to bid on the Project in Phase 2 – RFB/Bidding Phase. Anticipated Schedule For Prequalification/Bidding Anticipated Completion of Trade Prequalification Evaluations: February 2025 Anticipated RFB to Prequalified Bidders: February 2025 Anticipated Notice To Proceed: June 2025 Anticipated Construction Schedule: Total Project Completion Anticipated 548 days after Notice to Proceed Masonry; Miscellaneous & Ornamental Iron; Waterproofing, Dam proofing & Caulking; Roofing & Flashing; Metal Windows; Glass & Glazing; Acoustical Tile; Resilient Floors; Painting; Fire Protection Sprinkler System; Plumbing; HVAC; Electrical This Project is a partial interior and exterior renovation of the existing steel frame, slab on grade, Math and Sciences Building. This Project comprises approximately 12,600 GSF of the existing 100,800 GSF building, plus modifications within ancillary spaces to support the new infrastructure. Estimated Total Overall Project Construction Cost (does not include CM Fee/General Conditions): $ 12,910,758 Estimated Total Project Duration: 548 calendar days The separate Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise (MBE & WBE) participation goals for this project are: 4.9% MBE and 8% WBE of the GMP. Please note that only firms certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) as MBE or WBE can be credited toward meeting the project MBE and WBE goals. The benchmark for SDVOBE and VBE participation on the project is 3%. payment and performance bonds in an amount equal to or greater than one hundred and ten percent (110%) The project is a partial interior and exterior renovation of the existing steel frame, slab on grade, Math and Sciences Building on the Danvers, MA campus of North Shore Community College. Masonry: All work consisting of concrete unit masonry work, masonry reinforcing, anchors and ties, reinforced unit masonry work, cavity wall insulation, through wall flashings, cutting and patching of masonry work, masonry restoration, staging and shoring, and other related items. Misc. and Ornamental Iron: All work related to metal fabrications, metal stairs, alternating tread stairs, metal tube railing, roof tieback anchors, metal column covers, metal lintels and other related items. Waterproofing, Dampproofing, and Caulking: All work for membrane air and vapor barriers, joint sealants and other related items. Roofing and Flashing: All work related to membrane roofing, insulation, sheet metal flashing, coping, trim, scuppers & downspouts, gutters/ rain leaders, roof walkway pads, rigging and hoists, repairs of existing, and other related items. Metal Windows: All work related to aluminum windows and windowsills. Glass and Glazing: All work including interior glass and glazing, borrowed lites, vision and transom panels, glazing film, glazing in doors. Acoustical Tile: All work related to acoustical panel ceilings. Resilient Floors: All work related to resilient flooring, base and accessories, and any patching. Painting: All work related to painting, prepping, finishing, sealing concrete and other coatings. Fire Protection Sprinkler System: All work related to fire protection (sprinkler) system modifications, pipe, fittings, hangers and sprinkler heads. Plumbing: All work related to furnishing and installing plumbing equipment and systems including gas-fired and electric water heaters, gas piping, combustion air and exhaust vent piping, hot and cold water piping, insulation, backflow preventers, emergency showers, lab waste and vent piping, ph neutralization system, vacuum pump, vacuum piping, and fixtures and trim. HVAC: All work related to HVAC equipment, ductwork, heating/cooling piping, duct/pipe insulation. Procurement, coordination, and installation of new HVAC equipment such as air handlers and fans to make a complete heating, ventilation, and cooling system. All work related to building automation system including sensors, actuator , wiring, and control panels to make a complete HVAC system. Electrical: All work related to Power distribution equipment, mechanical equipment, modifications to existing motor control centers and distribution panels, power to miscellaneous lab equipment, conduits, wiring and other related items. All work related to lighting, controls, conduit, wiring and other related items. power to mechanical equipment and extension of existing circuits to new panelboards. All work related to the extension of existing circuits to new panelboards, circuit breakers, conduits, wiring and other related items. All work related to data cabling, conduit pathways, face plates, patch panels, terminations and testing. All work related to cameras, conduit pathway, mounting and cabling. Integrated Audio-Video Systems and Equipment - All work related to furnishing and installing integrated audio-video systems and equipment including procurement, coordination, hardware installation, cabling terminations, software installation, custom software development, programming, configuration, quality assurance testing, documentation, and user training.
