DESCRIPTION - Labor, removal, equipment, materials and installation needed to complete the remodel of the womens restroom at the Hutchinson Fire Department Command and Training Center, 3201 East 4th Avenue, Hutchinson, KS The following specifications are to provide for the removal, purchase, and installation of listed and other necessary items in the remodel of the Women's restroom at the Hutchinson Fire Department Command and Training Center. Vendors are to furnish all labor, equipment and materials necessary for completion of the project. These specifications represent minimum criteria, materials, and procedures contractors are not to fall below when submitting bids for this project. Modifications and/or exceptions to these minimum specifications may only be approved by the Fire Chief or Division Chief of Operations. Special Terms and Conditions: o The following are in addition to the applicable standard terms and conditions. Please review these carefully. Any exceptions to these terms and conditions shall be clearly stated in writing and included with the bid response. o Any substituted product must be manufactured of the same basic type of materials, meet or exceed all the features of the product being substituted. o All products offered on this contract must have a complete set of factory specifications that match or exceed the requested minimums. o Manufacturer agrees to comply with all local, state and federal laws. o All work will be accomplished in conformance with OSHA safety requirements, and any additional federal, state, or local fire or safety requirements. Manufacturer agrees to advise member when work is expected to be hazardous. o The worksite shall provide a working environment as recommended by the manufacturer, including area heating or cooling, light and power requirements. o Clean up will be on a daily basis and the worksite will be returned to original and safe condition upon completion of the work. Installation Terms and Conditions o Installation of all materials shall be in accordance with manufacturer installation instructions. o Authorized installer will coordinate all site activities with the Hutchinson Fire Department. o Work to be performed during building business hours of 700am to 330pm. Work outside building business hours should be coordinated with the fire department. o The installation by the Authorized installer will guarantee the workmanship of the installation for one or more years dated from the final acceptance by the buyer. o All rubbish, wrappings, debris, trimmings, and other trash will be removed from the site and disposed as permitted by state law, on a daily basis. o Provide color scheme to match existing Hallway. o All work shall meet ADA requirements. o All materials and fixtures are to be new, NO reuse of anything existing, except possibly the exhaust fan. Minimum Items to be included in bid: - Ceiling tile and grid, match existing tile and grid from hallway. - 2' x 2' tiles - LED lighting, match lighting from hallway. - 3 sinks(New) - Kohler K2196-4 or equivalent - 3 faucets with automatic / touchless controls(New) - Sloan SF2350 or equivalent - Solid surface countertop(New) - Cast Polymer / Cultured Onyx/ or granite - Mirror over sinks(New) - Welded frame, 1 or 3 mirrors -Separate vanity area with cabinet to fit area - countertop, cast polymer/cultured onyx/ or granite(match main sink area) - mirror, welded frame(match main sink area) - In wall trash receptacle - Sized to fit existing opening - Exhaust fan - Quiet and sized to room(reuse of existing would be allowed for this only) - 3 stools with automatic / touchless controls(New) -1 stool to meet ADA requirements with new hand rails - 3 Kohler K3979 or equivalent - HDPE Plastic partitions around the stool w/doors(New) - Standard 1" thick solid HDPE equipped with coat hook, bumper, latch with bolt. - (match to men's restroom as closely as possible) - Floor tile, sized to have nominal effect of slope to drain. -Epoxy Grout -(match to men's restroom as closely as possible) - Wall tile, minimum of 4"x12" tile matching same height of existing or greater. -Latex Modified Portland Cement Grout -(match to men's restroom as closely as possible) Completion is desired as soon as possible or prior to March 8th, 2025, upon receipt of purchase order.
