Renovation of a parking garage in Ithaca, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
This is a single-prime project for General Construction work. This contract shall consist of providing all materials, equipment, and labor for repairs to the Seneca St Parking Deck. The work for GENERAL CONSTRUCTION shall include, but is not limited to, concrete slab repairs, concrete wall repairs, concrete beam repairs, waterproofing repairs, deck coating installation and other associated repair work. The Seneca St. Parking Deck is located at 202 E. Seneca St. in the City of Ithaca. Written questions should be addressed to Juan D. Sanchez, P.E., WGI, Inc. Engineer /Project Manager at juan.sanchez@wginc.com and copied to etorres@cityofithaca.org. Questions must be received by 5:00 PM at least Ten days before the bid date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated damages in the sum of FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($400) per calendar day past the date of substantial completion will be assessed as provided in Article 3.5 of the Agreement Document. Bid security shall be required for this contract in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bidder's maximum Bid price payable to the Owner. No bidder shall withdraw any bid within forty-five (45) days after the date of bid opening. In the event that the contract is awarded, the work under this contract shall be substantially complete within 120 days of the date fixed in the NOTICE TO PROCEED but not more than 120 days after commencement of the work at the site. A completed bid form, as well as required submittals, must be submitted for bidding. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Owner.
