Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Working plans call for the construction of a 109,017-square-foot, 1,050-seat educational facility.
Plans call for the demolition of the north wing of the main hospital building to make way for the construction of a 130,088-square-foot performing arts center. Plans call for a 350-seat drama theater, a 450-seat dance theater, a 250-seat studio theater and associated support spaces, such as a scenery shop and rehearsal hall. As of April 2022, the project has been placed on indefinite hold. The project is expected to resume in July 2022. There is no schedule available at this time for bidding and construction.
