Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Bradenton, Florida. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
The plans included eight possible options, ranging in design, cost, renovation, and total reconstruction that have been developed over the course of an engineer study. It was decided that the project would be a 65-foot clearance bridge. As of January 2023, the project is in early design and in the Environmental Resource Permit process. The project is in the community outreach phase. Construction is expected to begin in 2025.
