Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to a theater / auditorium in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a 7,500-square-foot, two-story above grade, one-story below grade theater / auditorium; for the renovation of a 15,000-square-foot, two-story above grade, one-story below grade theater / auditorium; for the demolition of a theater / auditorium; and for site work for a theater / auditorium.

As of April 8,2019 project is expected to begin sometime in summer and is expected to be completed in 365 days from teh start date. The City of Raleigh Construction Management Division invites bids for the complete renovation and addition to Pullen Arts Center (Project Number 274-PR Pullen Arts Center), located at 105 Pullen Road, Raleigh, NC 27607, as described in the contract documents. Work will include renovating the existing 15,000 SF building, adding 7,500 SF of new building as well as site improvements. The renovation will include all new building systems, new interior layout and new aluminum storefront glazing throughout. The three-level addition will be added to the South corner of the existing building. Site improvements include adding additional parking, outdoor pedestrian gathering space and additional landscaping. Construction is to be complete within 365 consecutive days of a Notice to Proceed. Construction of this project includes but is not limited to the following trades: asbestos removal, building demolition, site and earth work, asphalt and concrete pavement, landscaping, structural steel, metal framing, drywall, aluminum storefront, concrete, masonry, roofing, interior cabinetry, painting, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection. The City of Raleigh prohibits discrimination in any manner on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, handicap or sexual orientation and will pursue an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting, and conducting business with women and minority owned business enterprises. The City of Raleigh has adopted an overall goal of 15% for participation by minority or women owned business (with sub goals of 8% for minority-owned and 7% for women-owned) for formal contracts awarded for construction by the City. The Bidder must include completed minority or women-owned subcontractor documentation form(s) regardless of bid amount or the bids may be considered non-responsive and invalid.
