Site work for a water / sewer project in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
A major storm drain system will be installed along Sullivan Boulevard from the intersection of Sullivan Boulevard and Holladay Lane eastward crossing Aragona Boulevard and southeast to Overman Avenue and the outfall tributary system. Additional Improvements will be installed along Overman Avenue to help alleviate overflow drainage from Whistler Lane and Sullivan Boulevard. This project will address drainage inadequacies in the Aragona Subdivision. PW Operations completed cleaning of existing storm drain pipes and is studying what sections of pipes need lining. Reports from the cleaning / inspection project include statements of significant blockages and restrictions. Based on PW Operations findings, phasing will be established for the projects to help resolve identified problems. PW Engineering completed a hydraulic capacity analysis of the main trunk line from Witchduck Lake to Lake Pembroke. Recommnedations from the analysis are being reviewed and possible storm system upgrades are being considered. As of July 26, the project is under construction.
