Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 144-bed detention facility.

Bordeaux Construction Company is receiving bids from prequalified subcontractors for the Orange County Norther Campus Project. This project consist of a 50,000 sf Detention facility, a 17,000 sf Environmental Agricultural Center, and a 8,500 sf Park Operations facility. The Detention facility is designed by Moseley Architects, while the EAC and Park Ops building are designed by HH Architects. The site is roughly 22 acres located in Hillsborough off Highway 70. The Detention Facility is a load bearing masonry structure with steel joist. This building also includes steel cells, a geothermal HVAC system, and an alternate to add Photovoltaic energy system on the roof. The EAC building is a conventional steel structure with brick veneer. This building also includes a PV system on the roof and VAV driven HVAC system. The Park Operations building is a Pre-Engineered Metal building that includes garage spaces as well as office space. This building also includes PV system on the roof. Each Bid Package will be responsible for pricing all buildings as outlined in each bid package scope as part of their base bid.
