Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Arcola, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of May 30, 2019, construction is expected to begin in June 2019 and see completion in 2021. Construct the hal and berni hanson regional park located on evergreen mill road in arcola, virginia in the blue ridge election district. The project includes, but is not limited to the following features: approximately 257 acres consisting of 17 athletic fields with lighting, over 75 acres of passive recreational space, a nature center building, a lodge building, a park office building, maintenance building and facilities, picnic shelters, renovation of a historical building (hanson house), restrooms with concessions, handicapped accessible playground, associated parking, five (5) athletic court facilities, two (2) playgrounds, two (2) dog parks, one (1) splash pad, one (1) skate plaza, and numerous pathways. Work to also include site work and roadway improvements. The roadway improvements on evergreen mill road will be delayed due to utility relocations by others. These utilities will be relocated no later than 365 calendar days from notice to proceed. The contractor should incorporate this timeline into their schedule. No time extension will be granted due to this delay.
