Site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a stadium; clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for the construction of a parking garage.
Design-Build construction; work includes two (2) new, NHL-sized ice pads equipped for sledge hockey, versatile concourse between the two ice pads, 14,500 sq. ft. multi-purpose space providing recreation and support to the arenas, connected to local streets, biking and walking network, and on site parking. TIMELINE: A Request for Supplier Qualifications (RFSQ) for Design-Build services was issued by the owner in spring 2024 followed by a stage 2 Request for Proposals. A contract has yet to be awarded. Construction is expected to commence in 2026. Further update may be available by late 2024/2025.
