Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in East Norriton, Pennsylvania. Design plans call civil work for a runway / taxiway.
The proposed 17-foot-high rail spur would include five stops: one at Henderson Road, with vehicle parking; two at the King of Prussia Mall, including a stop that deposits passengers in the mall itself; and two more in the King of Prussia Business Park, an old commercial and industrial site poised for mixed-use redevelopment. As of October 2023, the project is on hold due to funding issues. SEPTA's board of directors have voted to move forward with the acquisition process of 70 sites that would make up the new rail line. The next steps will includes appraising the properties, determining fair market value and making offers for the land.
