Renovation of a military facility in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Design plans call for the renovation of a 4,700-square-foot military facility.
Conduct repairs and improvements to the existing structures such as roof, wall, door and window repairs/replacements and the addition of insulation to achieve an increase in energy efficiency. Interior renovation will require the wall, ceiling and floor finishes to be renovated and lighting upgrades throughout the ~13,391 Sq FT facility. Restroom updates and plumbing evaluation. Upgrade to electrical service and interior distribution system. Repair/upgrade of a public address system, install A-phone access system, conduct telecom DMARC relocation, and conduct rewire of data, voice and video. Update building controls, HVAC system repair/replacements, and hazardous materials abatement required. Drill hall improvements to include acoustic baffles, epoxy floor and air conditioning. Increase Anti-Terrorism/ Force Protection measures such as blast proof glass. Scope to include 1500 SF building addition. Scope also includes structural and interior renovation to a 4,700 Sq FT maintenance facility and all appropriate civil work for the facility to improve and expand current parking areas. Scope includes design and repair of an existing stream bank on western boundary to mitigate further erosion and potential damage to site and existing structures.
