Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Vancouver, British Columbia. Design plans call for the construction of a 8,500-square-foot day care center; 24,000-square-foot retail development; 1,411,729-square-foot, 26-story above grade multi-residential development; parking garage; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The project will be predominately residential, with approximately 17 buildings ranging in size from 4 to 26 storeys and 1,630 homes, including strata, market rental, affordable rental and social housing. More than 20 percent of the homes are designated as affordable housing, from city-owned social housing to moderate income rental housing. The development will also deliver a new childcare facility, two-acre public park and improvements to local pedestrian and cycling infrastructure. TIMELINE: Design is ongoing. Development Permit applications are anticipated to be sought individually for the various phases. The project will be phased and the schedules may be confirmed once municipal approvals are in place. *An application for development permit is pending issuance for the Phase 1 and being followed under a separate report as: Oakridge Transit Centre (OTC) Redevelopment - Phase 1. Further update in early 2025. Pooni Group is the Urban Planning Consultant. Bunt & Associates is the Transportation Consultant. Construction budget is unreleased.
