Proposal for construction of the Park Maintenance Building which includes an enclosed 60' x 90' metal building with concrete footings and concrete slab, as specified. No proposal may be withdrawn within fifteen (15) days from the scheduled closing time for receipt of such. The City of Newton, Kansas reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any irregularities therein. Specifications: o Approximately 60' Long x 90' Deep x 14' inside height, free span, w/concrete footings to meet City of Newton, Kansas Building Code o 26-gauge painted steel roofing and siding o 2- 12' tall x 20' wide overhead doors, insulated, with one row of window panels, with automatic operators, on east & west ends approximately 20' from the north wall. o Translucent (light transmitting) panels along top of north & south walls, and east & west walls except above door widths, for natural light. o 6" dia. Pipe bollard filled with concrete on sides of each overhead door o 4"-6" overhang with 6" box gutter and downspouts, 26-gauge o 3-walk-in doors, 3' x 6'-8" solid panel (1-SE corner, 1-N of east door, 1- N of west door) o 5" reinforced 3500 PSI concrete slab, w/6" stem wall for anchor plate bed, slab sloped toward overhead door openings (concrete slab must have compacted subgrade) o 2" close cell spray foam insulation on all exterior walls and under roof o Frame interior walls of large space with 5/8" CDX Plywood, 8' high o Install 2-150,000 BTU unit heaters, mount from ceiling, provide mounting specs when obtain permit o Install 5 gallon electric water heater for bathroom o Install electrical 200 Amp service panel to serve overhead doors, new heaters, overhead LED lighting, air compressor, welder, mechanical lift for mower, power outlets will be needed on all walls & some overhead, submittal should be provided for locations o Frame & sheet rock space for Unisex restroom (SE corner of bldg.), plumb for one stool & urinal, with sink & counter space including eye wash station (all connected to sanitary sewer) & closet for storage o Provide break-out cost for load bearing ceiling to restroom for additional storage on top o Pour concrete approaches to overhead doors to city standards o Large exhaust fan for open space o Engineered plans, stamped o Colors to be determined o Grade around new building for positive drainage o Needs to meet all local building codes 2018 International Building Code (IBC) 2018 International Fire Code (IFC) 2012 International Mechanical Code (IMC) 2011 National Electrical Code (NEC) 2009 International Plumbing Code (IPC) 2009 International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) 2010 Standards for Accessible Design ADA) o Needs to meet Ground Snow Load: 20 psf, Wind Speed( mph): 90, Seismic Design Category: A, Frost line depth: 30 inches
