Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Tampa, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Scope of work includes, The existing library space on the second and third floors are in need of re-design due to the changing modes of information retrieval and exchange. Collections have grown and the format of these collections requires additional computer workstations, Life Safety and ADA code requires that improved egress and accommodations be made; telecommunications needs of the present technological formats (cd-rom, online access) will require multiple space reconfigurations; ; multimedia requirements and usage indicate a needed expansion of the learning and media laboratories. The project will also address circulation and egress concerns throughout the facility to comply with current Life Safety and Building Codes. The project includes remodeling of classrooms as well as space vacated by student services staff that were re-located to the new one stop student services center into library/study areas. As of December 17, 2021, the project is on indefinite hold due to funding. A timeline to select a design firm has not been determined.
