Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Advanced Technical Training Center at Piedmont Virginia Community College, Project Code # 260-18342-000, located in Charlottesville, Virginia. The project is generally described as a 45,000 sf, 3-story, steel frame, masonry veneer building which will support academics, student services and student activities. Location- 501 College Dr., Charlottesville VA 22901. The project is a 46,537 gross square foot facility, housing an advanced technical training center and various student support functions. The building will range from two to three levels, with a steel and composite slab primary structure, and an exterior envelope comprised of face brick, metal panel, and storefront glazing. All roof areas will be low-slope assemblies, with a minimum 2 ply modified bitumen membrane. Raised parapets will be employed in some places. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2 and Contract Security is required) for any bid regardless of bid amount. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accordance with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
