Bids received from those who have not been pre-qualified will not be considered. The work for Springfield CBC Commuter Parking Garage shall include the construction of a new six level parking precast concrete parking structure with approximately 1,100 parking spaces, six bus bays, and a connected pedestrian bridge spanning across Old Keene Mill Road. The project also includes dedicated area for an informal carpool system, bicycle storage, passenger waiting areas and a multi-use field on the top parking level. Site improvements on the existing 2.7 acres site includes landscaping, utility installation and a stair tower with an elevator for the pedestrian bridge adjacent to the westbound direction of Old Keene Mill Road. The overall construction duration is planned to be 30 months. These are estimated dates and durations and are subject to change. The cost for this project is estimated to be $55 to $70 million All questions concerning this Pre-qualification shall be submitted electronically in writing to the Director, Building Design and Construction Division, e-mail address buildincafairfaxcounty.gov, and to be given consideration, such requests must be received at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the deadline for submittal of the Prequalification Application indicated in the Invitation to Apply for Pre-qualification.
