As of January 05, 2021 this project has begun construction. Construction is expected to last through September 2022. The selection requirements and the selection schedule will be available from the Washington County Administration Office on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 The Washington County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the best interest of the County. The new Administration Building will house County offices and departments in one facility in order to more efficiently provide services to the growing population of Washington County. The offices/departments that will be housed in the facility include: Commission Office, Clerk/Auditors Office, Treasurers Office, Assessors Office, Recorders Office, Human Resources, Community Development, Public Works, Geographic Information System, Information Technology, Tourism, Emergency Services, Habitat Conservation Plan, and Building Maintenance. This facility will be approximately 80,000 square feet in size and will be three stories tall. It will include public meeting chamber, office space, conference rooms, break rooms that include kitchen facilities, outdoor break areas, bathrooms, mail room, storage, records archive space (with extra fire and climate control protections), computer server room (with access restrictions and climate control), emergency command center, elevators, water bottle refill stations, secured underground parking, and low-water landscaping. It will also include an approximately 72,000 square foot, three level parking structure adjacent to the building.
