Site work, paving and new construction of a municipal facility in Miami, Florida. Design plans call for the construction of a 60,000-square-foot municipal facility.
This project consists of a new cargo terminal federal inspection facility that includes a central examination (CES) warehouse, parking facility, office and operational/ maintenance support facility for customs and border protection (CBP). Site is being determined, scope dependent on space. An address for the project has not been assigned. As of December 9, 2022, the project is on hold. An initial design was conducted for the project, but the scope of work may change and will most likely require some redesign prior to solicitation. An architect has been selected. The general contractor will be selected through competitive bid; however, the County has not determined if the project will be design-build or design, bid, build. A timeline for construction has not been determined.
