Site work, new construction, remodeling and addition to a mixed-use development in North Stonington, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the addition of a 30,050-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; 11,700-square-foot educational facility; for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; and for the remodel of a municipal facility.
New gymnasium/auditorium on the north side of Route 2, while old gym & central office could be used for municipal programs, approx. 30,050 square-foot addition to Wheeler Middle/High School to include new science labs, new cafeteria & kitchen, secure main entrance & space for the music program, lower level of building would house the middle school, while second floor would house the high school, approx 11,700 square-foot addition to North Stonington Elementary School. As of October 25, 2019, Wheeler Middle/ High School has opened the new building. Phase II, the renovation of North Stonington Elementary School, began in March 2019. Phase III, scheduled for the summer of 2019, comprises a roof replacement on the old high school, which will be the new home of the Central Administration and the Board of Education.
