Renovation of a transportation facility in Houston, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Upgrade or replace infrastructure, finishes and other items in Terminal A. The project will include, but is not limited to, replacing all existing passenger loading bridges, aircraft support systems (ground power and pre-conditioned air), upgrade existing restrooms to meet code, construct FAA mandated Service Animal Relief Areas (SARAs). The project is included in the city FY 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program. As of August 5, 2024 the project is in planning stage. Information regarding the architect and subbid scheduled has not been disclosed. Construction is expected to begin in late August or early September 2024.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
