To plan, design, construct and conduct archaeological and environmental studies for upgrades to the Anthony Water & Sanitation District activated sludge Wastewater Treatment plant that was built in 1995 and is in need of upgrades. As the community of Anthony grows, it is critical that reliable infrastructure is available to meet demand and meet all governmental regulatory standards. It is critical to keep our Wastewater Treatment plant in good operating order to avoid any environmental hazardous situations. The project will conducted in several phases as follow: Phase one will include the planning, archaeological and environmental studies and design. Phase two-three-four will consist construction of several components such as influent meters, washwater pump controls, repair air lines, change blowers, replace bar screen, replace deteriorated concrete structures, replace deteriorated process piping and electrical systems. As of January 27, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2027 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction FY2023. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
