The 18-mile light-rail project includes two stops -- Dillard Street and Alston Avenue -- between downtown Durham and NCCU, where the rail line ends. Light-rail trains are currently planned to start running in 2028. As of As of April 25, 2019, the Durham and Orange counties’ light-rail project has been discontinued as of April 2019.
