The goal of this program is to alleviate emergency sewer repairs and back-ups by replacing the sewer infrastructure that is past its useful life. Coordination for the replacement of these sewers often gets completed with the Reconstruct Streets and Pavement Management programs within the Engineering-Major Streets budget. This program uses a case-by-case basis to evaluate the replacement of the sewers beneath streets. As of May 22, 2024, this project is part of the City of Madison FY 2024-2029 CIP.
