Sealed bids are invited for general contractors that prequalified on RFQ 505-TW, Fiscal Year 2021 Projects, for the Chemical Storage Building at the Amissville Area Headquarters. The project is generally described as the construction of an approximately 7,885 square foot chemical storage building including utilities, foundations, pre-engineered frame-supported membrane as well as associated site demolition and improvements, complete. Bids will be accepted only from those contractors prequalified (RFQ 505-TW) to bid on this project. A five percent (5%) bid bond is required to accompany this bid. When required bid shall be accompanied by a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2, payable to the Owner as obligee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Failure to submit the bid bond on the Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO10.2 will result in the bid being considered non-responsive. (When bid bonds are requested, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bond.) Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids.
