New construction of a mixed-use development in North York, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a clubhouse / community center; multi-residential development; office development; and retail development.
Construction of a mixed-use development, at the Eastern Quadrant of Downsview Park to in host a range of housing types, Community uses, neighbourhood retail, small offices, and live/work studios will be located on the lower floors of the buildings. The southern portion of the Allen neighbourhood will be developed with medium and high-density residential units. Appropriate for mixed-use (residential and retail) and community uses, as well as some commercial uses. The project will aim to achieve a minimum Silver Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating. TIMELINE: The owner is seeking an update of the 2011 Downsview Area Secondary Plan for the subject lands with a Framework Plan. Development is expected to proceed pending completion of the Downsview Park's William Baker Neighborhood development approvals. Interest from developers for purchase and development of the site is being sought by the owner. Further project schedules will be finalized when a developer is secured.
