New construction of a mixed-use development in Kingston, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a educational facility; multi-residential development; office development; restaurant; and retail development.
Development of four and a half city blocks needed to accommodate project growth. Development could include housing of various types; offices; additional stores and restaurants; artisan space; transportation terminal with visitor center; parking garage and open space. Project will also include a tourism and hospitality campus developed in partnership with the local college. TIMELINE: The City issued a Request for Expressions of Interest fall 2023. The short-listed proponents include: Taggart Group of Companies & CaraCo; Claridge Homes; IN8 64 Barrack (IN8 Developments, The Springer Group and Westdale Properties); Homestead Land Holdings; Jay Patry Enterprises & Trinity Development Inc; and Fitzrovia and Seeker Labs. Invited RFP to be issued in the coming weeks to the short-listed proponents only. Further update may be available fall 2024.
