Saving Project...

Site work for a civil project in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Design plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.

The scope of work includes the widening of Kenaston Boulevard (from four lanes to six lanes) from Taylor Avenue to the St James Bridge and structural improvements and widening of two bridges over the Assiniboine River. TIMELINE: Funding is required. The Phase 3 public engagement summary has been complete. The administrative report and preliminary design will be presented to the Standing Policy Committee on Public Works on June 11, 2024. On June 27, 2024 Council approved the preliminary design. The project was referred to the 2025 Investment Planning process. The City will move forward with an independent value for money assessment. The assessment will evaluate the business case and alternative project delivery methods. Detailed design and funding are required before construction begins. Detailed design timing is TBD. Further update may be available late 2024. *Construction is subject to Council's approval of the project and budget. If approved, construction is estimated to take 6 years to complete.
