Site work for a civil project in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Design plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
The scope of work includes the widening of Kenaston Boulevard (from four lanes to six lanes) from Taylor Avenue to the St James Bridge and structural improvements and widening of two bridges over the Assiniboine River. TIMELINE: Plans are preliminary. Funding has been allocated in the 2026 budget for land acquisition for either this project of the Chief Peguis Trail Extension West. If this project is not approved by 2027, the forecasted funding will be re-allocated for fixing the St. James Street bridges. Approvals for detailed design are not yet in place. Further update may be available early 2027. *Construction is subject to Council's approval of the project and budget. If approved, construction is estimated to take 6 years to complete.
