If you have been contacted by the owner to bid on this project as a prime contractor, and would like to be listed below, please notify our editorial staff at research.canada@constructconnect.com Construction services for the Warden Station Redevelopment Project as follows: - New street-level bus terminal building, site, and dedicated driveway with new above ground bus terminal concourse level for access to the existing subway station Concourse Level. - Two (2) new escalators and two (2) new elevators (Elevators E3 and E4) for access between the street level and concourse level of the new bus terminal. - New retail spaces, new service rooms, back-of-house rooms, and staff washrooms. - Temporary bus platform and shelters. - Temporary bus stops and shelters on Warden Avenue. - Demolition/Removal of existing and construction of new Passenger Pick-Up and Drop-Off (PPUDO) with short-term public parking spaces. - Demolition/Removal of existing and construction of new TTC South Commuter Parking Lot. - Modifications to existing right lane, boulevard, and sidewalk along Warden Avenue. - Modifications to existing bus terminal and PPUDO driveway entry ramps on St. Clair Avenue East. - New retaining wall for the aboveground subway track-level embankment along the new - PPUDO area and TTC South Commuter Parking Lot. - Upgrades to the electrical distribution and other site improvements and upgrades. EllisDon has announced it has been selected to lead the Warden Station redevelopment project in Toronto for the TTC. The redevelopment will introduce a transit hub, CreateTO mixed-income housing and new public spaces around Taylor Massey Creek, stated a release. Warden Station, a central transfer point on Line 2, has been part of Toronto's transit network since the 1960s. The redevelopment will make the station fully accessible and upgrade passenger access, said the constructor. The project will start with the establishment of a new accessible entrance that includes elevators linking the entrance, concourse and subway platform levels. The existing bus terminal will then be replaced. The station will remain operational throughout the redevelopment.
