Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a swimming pool in Laval, Quebec. Completed plans call for the construction of a 150,000-square-foot, three-story above grade, one-story below grade, 500-seat swimming pool; for site work for a swimming pool; and swimming pool.

Construction of a City aquatic complex in a design/build mode. Covering an area of almost 14,000 m2, the aquatic complex will offer Laval residents three indoor pools including a pool for recreational use, a 50-meter semi-Olympic pool, and a diving pool including a 10-meter tower and several other recreational spaces including a paddling pool dedicated to small children (as well as a slide), a multifunctional training studio and a room of physical conditioning. The new aquatic complex will be able to accommodate up to 875 bathers and 500 spectators. TIMELINE: The special meeting of the City executive committee chaired by the mayor Stéphane Boyer hold on February 2, 2022 has awarded a design/build contract to the firm Pomerleau. Notes. - The amount of the contract net of taxes and other charges is $108 444 700. - The construction has already started and was stopped after foundations pouring because of the cost overruns. The owner has awarded a contractor Aurèle Côté inc for the development and protection work of the existing foundations during the winter period as part of the Complexe Aquatique de Laval project.
