Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Locust Hill, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a 150,000-square-foot clubhouse / community center; stadium; swimming pool; and library.
Construction of the Seaton Community Centre and Library. The facility will consist of multi-purpose rooms, a twin pad arena, a swimming pool, an indoor soccer field, a library, seniors and youth areas and a double gym for future growth in North Pickering; scope to be defined. The facility will be located at the realigned Whitevale Road (future Alexander Knox Road) and Sideline 24 (future Burkholder Drive), sitting on approx. 25 acres. TIMELINE: Conceptual design options have been presented to the owner; community consultation process is underway. A consultant was secured May 6, 2025 to complete Geotechnical and Hydrological Reports (DS Consultants). Square footage will be released pending selection of the design option. Per Capital Budget, the construction of this facility is currently scheduled in 2027. Further update summer 2026.
