New construction of a museum in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a museum.
Rebuild of the existing art gallery. Plant said they found the gallery would need between 18,000 to 25,000 square feet of space. Scope of work to be finalized. TIMELINE: Feasibility study is complete. The city is working with a consultant on strategizing a capital campaign, on site selection, community engagement and working with Snuneymuxw First Nation. An update may be available in summer 2025, upon funding approvals.
