The 5,375-m2 subject property is located in Downtown Dartmouth, adjacent to the Portland Street commercial area and near the Alderney Ferry Terminal; with frontage on 3 streets (Alderney Drive, King Street, and Prince Street). TIMELINE: A Request for expressions of interest from potential partners for development closed at the owner in spring 2022. Negotiations are ongoing with a group of private developers. Further update may be available by late 2025/2026, pending final agreements. *Cost is undefined. A concept plan was developed for this site by Lydon Lynch Architects in 2012.
