Site work, environmental remediation and new construction of a mixed-use development in Scarborough, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and road / highway.

SWP - Central Segment: Meadowcliffe to Grey Abbey; East Segment: Grey Abbey to East Point Park. Construction of a new waterfront park along the Lake Ontario shoreline from Bluffer's Park to East Point Park in Toronto, Ontario to create a destination park featuring a system of linked scenic landscapes both along the top of the bluffs and at the water's edge integrating shoreline regeneration, public access and safety, and natural heritage. The scope will include destination points for the general public with gathering places and public and washroom buildings. The preferred alternative includes the expansion of the existing beach by approximately 60 metres into Lake Ontario between Bluffers Park and Meadowcliffe. To achieve this Alternative, a headland will be constructed at the Meadowcliffe shoreline and the existing headland at the east end of Bluffers Park will be expanded. This Alternative will include an extension to the existing trail north of the expanded beach to meet Meadowcliffe. TIMELINE: Project is preliminary only. Detailed design will commence once the implementation of the West Segment shoreline and multi-use trail is underway (tentatively later in 2027. The total capital investment for the project is currently estimated to be $170 million, over a 12-year implementation period.
