Repairs to Structure 1045 on Ontario Street - Driving steel piles and extension to the concrete abutments to accommodate wider bridge deck - Replacement of bridge deck with 10-1400 NU prestressed concrete girders - Construction of concrete block retaining walls - Reconstruction of roadway approaches and intersection to accommodate an additional lane - Watermain, storm sewers and sewage forcemain replacements on approaches and over the bridge - Traffic signal and illumination upgrades throughout construction zone The construction work is expected to extend over a year and a half with a summer shut-down to avoid tourist season.
