Site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Vernon, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a transportation facility; and for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The Airport Master Plan has identified new facilities and improvements to existing facilities over the next 20 years, including: More hanger space, relocating the visual guidance indicators and threshold markings, construction of taxiway echo and rehabilitating taxiways alpha and bravo, new airport operations shop and vehicle storage building, improving perimeter security, construction of a new parking area, landscaping, signage, incorporating design guidelines for new development into the OCP and exploring the potential for employment land north of the airport. TIMELINE: Implementation of the Master Plan is to proceed in phases. Runway Rehabilitation and Pre-construction for Airport Apron 1 Rehabilitation and Expansion was completed. Depending upon options and scope, the approximate budgets for various phases of the master plan could be between $700,000 - $8.6 million. Further update may be available early spring, 2025.
