Summary of Work: The Meadow Wood Reservoir project generally consists of the construction of a pre-stressed AWWA D110 Type 1 concrete reservoir with a storage volume of approximately 1 million gallons, included all associated work related to earthwork, site improvements, yard piping, and reservoir mechanical, finishes, electrical and automatic control as detailed in the Plans and specifications, and required by permitting agencies. Work includes but is not limited to: soil and rock excavation; backfill and grading; subgrade preparation; construction of soil nail and segmental block retaining walls, site utilities including vaults and manholes, gravel and gravel surfaces, site fencing, and the reservoir structure including inlet, outlet, overflow, and drain piping and connection to the existing water and storm systems by trenchless installation; and finishes for the proposed reservoir. The construction project also requires dewatering and shoring during subgrade excavation. The installation of site landscaping and irrigation is anticipated to be completed by other in conjunction with this project but is not included in this contract except where noted in the Plans and specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond payable to the city for 10% of the total amount of the bid. A performance guarantee in the form of a bond, cashier's check, certified check, letter of credit, or loan proceeds, in the amount of 100%. The class or classes of work for which bidders must prequalify are the following: TEMPORARY FEATURES AND APPURTENANCES, ROAD WORK, EARTHWORK AND DRAINAGE, WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS, CONSTRUCTION, AND FENCES. SPECIAL NOTE! The work shall be completed, and Reservoir fully operational no later than December 31, 2024. The City of Grants Pass may reject any bid not in compliance with all public bidding procedures and requirements, may waive any irregularities, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding of the City it is in the public interest to do so.
