As of January 26, 2023, this project is the early design phase and is on hold. A firm timeline for bidding and start of construction has not been determined. This project is included in the City of Missoula's FY 2022 - 2026 CIP and funding is allotted for FY 2025 and FY 2026. Provides for design , engineering and construction of planned major facilities including Recreation Center expansion, removal of operations facilities; addition of sport courts; addition of 100 person picnic shelter; replacement of ball field lighting, and reconstruction of parking lots. Prior and FY22 funding comes from impact fees and are being used to develop a conceptual master plan for a potential community center at McCormick Park.
