In 2018, the Recreation and Parks Department went through a community engagement and planning process to develop the vision Master Plan for Eidem Homestead. The Master Plan, including an Interpretive Plan and associated Facility Development Plan, will ensure the long-term sustainability of the Historic Farm and create a home of the Brooklyn Historical Society. The 2023 scope calls for Phase I development of Visitor Center/Bathroom facility. Project is in City of Brooklyn Park capital budget FY2024-2028. As of April 9, 2025, per owner, construction has not started. They are waiting to identify full funding. There is no timeline for this project to move forward at this time. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
