UPDATE :https://www.northportfl.gov/City-Government/Finance-Budget/Budget-Documents This project is for the future land acquisition, design, and construction of a new fire station (Fire Station 87) tentatively in the area north of I-75 at N. Toledo Blade Blvd as well as associated response apparatus. The Engine and Ambulance were ordered via a letter of intent to purchase and are anticipated to be delivered in 2027. The timeline of this project could change based upon development timelines. Project is in City of North Port capital budget fy 2025 CIP 357 ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This project is for the future location of either the purchase of property, design and construction of a new fire station (Fire Station 87) tentatively in the area north of I-75 at N. Toledo Blade Blvd or West Village (WVID) area, funded by the developer according to the Principles of Agreement. The Engine and Ambulance will be purchased in FY 2026 when the Surtax III funding will become available. The timeline of this project could change. As of January 14, 2025, this project is being designed and built by the Developer and is already in processg. Developer firm information and a firm timeline for construction has not been determined. This project is included in the city's FY 2025-2028 Capital Improvement Program. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
