Update:This project will provide a multi-purpose center to serve leisure needs for all ages in the Aberdeen community. This facility will be designed based on the models in Bel Air, Havre de Grace and Fallston and will be utilized by the Office on Aging and by the Department of Parks and Recreation for a variety of community activities. Funding will be a cooperative effort of County, City, State and Federal resources along with private contributions. Design was initiated in FY 2023 with construction beginning in FY 2025. Populations growth will generate demand for additional facilities for all ages. This project supports the goals and objectives of the 2022 Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan and its Capital Improvement Program recommendations.
