Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of an educational facility in Camarillo, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 10,000-square-foot educational facility; and for the construction of a 24,000-square-foot educational facility.

This project will renovate the existing Chaparral Hall (#22) and add new construction that will provide instructional lab and support, an art gallery, and a departmental office suite for the Art Department to meet current utilization demands and co-locate department resources now spread out across three buildings on campus. The project will renovate approximately 4,500 ASF/10,000 GSF and include new construction of approximately 19,500 ASF/32,500 GSF, resulting in an overall project total of 24,000 ASF/42,500 GSF. The project will provide capacity space for 164 FTE (38 FTE in lecture space, 126 FTE in LD laboratory space), and administrative department offices. This project is currently in the California State University's FY 2022-2026 CIP. As of March 23, 2022, preliminary plans, working drawings and construction are anticipated in 2023/2024.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
