Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Montreal-Nord, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a stadium; clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a stadium.

Construction of a new facility to create a Borough Sports and Community complex. The new complex will house an Olympic swimming pool, a triple gymnasium, a multi-functional rooms, a palaestra, locker rooms, showers and washrooms, administrative offices. TIMELINE: The awarded consultant has completed a Feasibility Study of the project estimating the project value as high as $77 millions. An extraordinary meeting of the City council has declined by its majority the motion to allocate an amount of $75 million over five years to finance the construction of the project. Future of the project is undetermined. The project will be followed in a new report when/if it passes in a real implementation stage. Coverage of this report has been discontinued. Note. The previous version of expansion of the Garon sport and community centre was also declined by the city authorities.
