Site work, paving, renovation and addition to a transportation facility in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a 2,200,000-square-foot transportation facility.
Plans call for the replacement of Terminal 2 with a new Global Terminal to serve larger aircraft for international flights, and general improvements that would provide better amenities and better security. This terminal is part of a larger multi-dimensional and multi-phase project that will increase the footprint of the airport by up to 3 million square feet. An 8-year master plan for these improvements is currently underway. Although a firm timeline has yet to be released, construction of the Global Terminal is not expected to commence before 2026. The listed design and construction team have been added based on involvement on past O'Hare 21 projects which include, but are not limited to, O'Hare 21- Terminal 5 Expansion & Satellite Concourses - O'Hare International Airport. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
