Renovation of a water / sewer project in Norman, Oklahoma. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
A portion of the Lift Station D 16" Ducticle Iron force main along 12th Ave. N.E. is severely deteriorated and in need of replacement. Approximately 3,500 feet of this force main to just south of Rock Creek Road was replaced with 20-inch PVC in 2009. The area needing replacement is on the west side of 12th, from the end of the previous project to the point where it begins to gravity flow near the 12th Avenue Recreation Center. This project is expected to require 2,300 feet of new 20-inch piping, three air release vaults, and a new receiving manhole. All projects will bid per state law; bid dates to be determined much later. Construction generally starts 60 - 90 days after bids are received. As of June 13, 2022, the project is included in the City of Norman FY 2022-2027 CIP. Bidding is estimated to take place in December of 2022. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
