Project no: 18-049-925-96 The Work under this Project consists of the replacement of existing water mains with 8-inch and 6-inch mains, and associated water services, valves and fire hydrants, as well as 10-inch and 8-inch sanitary sewer gravity main replacement, and associated manholes and sanitary sewer cleanouts along the following corridors with approximate lengths of the improvements indicated: Elbyrne Dr SS - 2,315 LF Elbyrne Ct SS - 115 LF Elbyrne Dr WM - 2,430 LF Elbyrne Ct WM - 140 LF Total = 5,000 LF Questions regarding this project must be submitted in writing via email to Suzan Sadler (ssadler@cityofchesapeake.net) (757) 382-6376, by 5:00 p.m., February 4, 2022. Bid Security in the amount of FIVE percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be subject to and in accordance with Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia, Chesapeake City Code Chapter 54, and the Contract Documents. The City of Chesapeake reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive informalities in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part and award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Owner. The City also reserves the right to negotiate with the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder should Bid exceed available funds by no more than 5%, in accordance with Chesapeake City Code Section 54-63(7).
