Demolition, site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 208,000-square-foot municipal facility; and 18,000-square-foot municipal facility.
As of April 9th, 2020, the project has received a notice to proceed and all trades have been awarded. Construction has not begun, but it is anticipated to begin before Q3 2020. RFQ for CM Services, Mass. Department of Public Health, Jamaica Plain Campus, Phased Renovation, Boston. Phased renovation of approximately 208,000 GSF, eight-story plus basement building containing laboratory, administrative, research space. Building will remain occupied throughout construction and remain 24/7/365 operational. Demolition of the Biologics Building. Stables Building, which is approximately 18,000 GSF, will be renovated. Firms must demonstrate prior experience as a CM on at least three CM at risk projects, one project of a similar cost and complexity, one complex laboratory project that included construction of BSL3 laboratory, one large, complex phased renovation project that remained occupied and fully operational. Firms interested in providing Public Construction Management at Risk Services (CM) or (CM at Risk) for the Mass. Department of Public Health, Jamaica Plain Campus, Phased Renovation, Boston, MA, are invited to submit a statement of qualifications (SOQ) to the Division of Capital Asset Management & Maintenance (DCAMM). This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process as set forth in M.G.L. c. 149A. DCAMM is prequalifying firms interested in providing Public CM at Risk Services for the project through this RFQ process.
