Site work, paving and new construction of a medical facility in Birmingham, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a 210,000-square-foot, five-story above grade medical facility.
The new building would require half of the current Cooper Green parking lot to be demolished and used as space for the new building. The entrance would face 6th Avenue South and the building would be about 150,000 square feet. The county would then be able to sell the current Cooper Green facility. The other half of the Cooper Green parking deck would remain. As of August 1, 2023, construction had commenced January 2023. All trades have been awarded. Completion is expected September 2024. *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let.
