The Park Development Division (PDD) of the Montgomery County Department of Parks, part of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission ("M-NCPPC", or "Commission"), requests proposals from qualified consultant teams (Consultant) to provide professional services in landscape architecture, civil, structural, and environmental engineering, architecture, mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) and fire protection, traffic studies (as required), site lighting, tree preservation, meadow ecology, construction documentation, related geotechnical work, cost estimation, survey, and limited construction administration required to complete the Little Bennett Regional Park Day Use Area (LBDUA) project located at 23701 Frederick Road in Clarksburg, Maryland. This project will provide all final design and construction documentation, utility and regulatory approvals necessary to complete construction. This project implements the 2011 approved Facility Plan (Plan) for a new 65-acre Day Use Area on the western fringe of Little Bennett Regional Park along MD Route 355 as a 'gateway' area to the Little Bennett Regional Park. The purpose is to create a welcoming entrance from the main road and a destination for families to spend the day. The project involves naturebased recreational activities with an emphasis on interpretation to highlight the site's unique ecological and cultural heritage.
