As of May 23, 2022, the project has not been awarded. A firm timeline for award has not been established, however, the project is expected to be reviewed by City of Houston - Public Works Council this week, May 23-27, 2022. Work of the Contract is for construction of Westpark Drive Paving and Drainage Improvements from Dairy Ashford to Wilcrest and includes the installation of new storm sewer, storm sewer leads, storm manholes, junction boxes, inlets and related appurtenances within City right-of-way throughout the project limits as identified in the Contract Drawings. The project also includes replacing and constructing street pavement, driveways, curbs, sidewalks, shared use path, wheelchair ramps, permanent signs, pavement markings, streetlights, traffic signal, water lines and services, and related appurtenances throughout the project limits as identified in the Contract Drawings. Contractor will be required to install and maintain tree protection measures, storm water management devices and traffic control for the duration of the project. The security executed by the Contractor and the Surety furnished to the Owner to guarantee payment of liquidated damages if the Contractor fails to enter into an awarded Contract. The Owner will award, reject, or defer the Contract within 90 days after the opening of the bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities in the best interest of the Owner.
